About Me
I am a 27 years old artist who loves to paint, create stories and nature. I am from Torres Vedras, Portugal. At the age of 18, I moved to Lisbon, where I’ve studied Medicine for 3 years, before dropping out to dedicate myself to painting and to learn new processes and techniques.
I went to Porto to learn more about painting and drawing in Faculdade de Belas Artes, where I did some one-year courses. While there, I also went to Atelier Livre de Pintura in Árvore. During that gap year, I traveled and tried different activities and experiences such as live sketching at weddings and events, doing portraits in different materials, and painting some oil landscapes. Between 2018-2022 I studied Drawing at ArCo, Lisbon.
In the summer of 2021, I did a summer course in Florence, at Charles H. Cecil Studios, where I practiced sight‑size portrait drawing and also painted to the scale of life using a limited flesh palette, which tradition takes back to the École des Beaux-Arts and the atelier-trained John Singer Sargent.
I just want to explore all the ideas I have on my mind.
